Vera Up until recently Vera has been reasonably undiscovered mainly because the budget airlines were not flying to the Costa Almeria. Now that they are tourism is booming. Vera is a historical picturesque Spanish town, with many interesting historical buildings to visit. It has a fine array of shops and is renowned for its cuisine, from simple tapas to up-market restaurants, Vera is a great place to eat out. Each Saturday morning from 9-2pm there is a market selling local produce in the main street of Vera, it has a great atmosphere and good quality items for sale. The beach in Vera is the main naturalist (nudist) beach in this region of Spain. It is supported by many of the local hotels, and camping parks. There is a water park in Vera called Park Aquatico, it is open from May till September, and well worth going on a hot Spanish day. The Vera bull ring is a historical bull fighting ring, that has been reconstructed in keeping with the old style. There are still bull fights here today. There is also a museum on bull fighting.
