TTorremolinos Attractions Torremolinos has been a popular tourist destination since the late 1950's. This resort on the Costa del Sol is probably best known for its nightlife, but it also boasts superb sandy beaches, which stretch all the way to neighbouring Benalmadena. Running through the centre of the town is the main shopping thoroughfare of calle San Miguel. At one end of this pedestrianised street is a flight of steps leading down through El Bajondillo towards the seafront. A former fishing district, El Bajondillo is a picturesque area that has an assortment of souvenir shops and restaurants. To the west of Torremolinos town centre is another old fishing district, La Carihuela, boasting a selection of good seafood restaurants. One of the most popular family attractions in Torremolinos is the Aquapark, which has a variety of water slides, rapids, chutes and swimming pools. Next to the Aquapark is the fascinating Crocodile Park, where you can see around 300 alligators, crocodiles and caimans. The park also has a mini zoo, small museum, crocodile nursery, gift shop and children's play area. El Ranchito, situated just outside the resort, is where you can watch Andalucian horses perform a skillful dressage routine. Torremolinos also has a couple of venues, Pepe Lopez and Los Tarantos where visitors can enjoy an evening of traditional flamenco. More sights, attractions and towns close to Torremolinos;
