Sotogrande Golf Sotogrande is a world famous golfing destination. Within its grounds it boasts a number of golf courses; considered by many to be amongst the best in the Europe and probably the world. One such course is Valderrama, which has played host tournaments such as the Ryder Cup, Volvo Masters, Golf World Championships, and many more. In addition to its home grown courses, Sotogrande is within reach of nearby San Roque; a town offering yet more golfing options, including the infamous San Roque Club resort. This part of Spain boasts the highest concentration of quality golf courses in Europe. Year round mild weather is the main reason why the sport took off here; and with increased popularity in the game many visiting golfers (including well known professionals) use it as their winter training ground.
