It offers classic comfort with panoramic views of the surrounding area. Dating back to 1906 the hotel was built by an Englishman in memory of Queen Victoria (reina translates as queen). To say that the views from here are dramatic is almost an understatement; some rooms feature terraces that literally hang over a 490 foot precipice. However those suffering from vertigo need not be too worried as there are plenty of rooms that do not. The infamous Ronda bullring is close at hand and visitors will find this an excellent place from which to explore Ronda. Guestrooms here are large, bright, and well furnished. The Reina Victoria Hotel is perhaps best known for being the place where Rainer Maria Rilke (one of Spain's most famous poets) wrote the Spanish Trilogy; and the room where he stayed has been preserved as a museum to this effect.
