Puerto Banus is great place to spend your holidays. Firstly it is located within easy driving distance of Malaga Airport. Malaga Airport is of course well served by many leading airlines and boasts connections with most major European cities; see Puerto Banus Flights for more information/to search for flights. Those intending on visiting other parts of the coastline will find Puerto Banus an ideal base to do this from, both from an accessibility point of view, and because of the wide choice of accommodation on offer. Opportunities for car hire are also good; see the Puerto Banus Car Hire document for more information. Puerto Banus has been synonymous with wealth, fashion, celebrities, and the highlife since the 1950's. As flight routes to Malaga airport have grown more frequent Puerto Banus has attracted more visitors. Visitors require entertaining, and many of the Costa's amusement parks and other attractions are based within short driving distance; Tivoli World, the Selwo Marine Park, and the Benalmadena Sea Life Centre to name but a few. There are plenty of sights to take in; the glitz and glamour of the port area, endless shopping and dining options, and its old town. As mentioned earlier one of the main attractions here is the diversity and availability of accommodation. There are a multitude of high end luxury hotels to choose from, though some lower cost alternatives can also be found. To search for hotels see Puerto Banus Hotels; to search for rental accommodation in Puerto Banus see Puerto Banus Rentals. The area is literally brimming with designer boutiques; so if what you are looking for is "in fashion" then you will find it here. More recently high street clothing chains have established themselves, catering for those whose budgets do not stretch as far as haute couture. Puerto Banus does offer a great sea front and there are a collection of good Puerto Banus Beaches to choose from. Visitors should find them spotlessly clean, with fine sand and flanked by a seemingly endless line of quality restaurants and Chiringuitos (beach front cafes). When the sun goes down Puerto Banus really comes to life, with an excellent selection of alfresco bars, piano clubs, and nightclubs on offer. For those with sufficient stamina the party continues until daybreak, though expect to pay for it. More traditional fiestas (festivals) are still prevalent, and there are a wide number to choose from, see Puerto Banus Fiestas for more information. Puerto Banus Weather is well known for being mild, making it an ideal destination in both the summer and winter months. The coastline is sheltered by hills and high mountains, allowing for a micro climate. This limits rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 300 days per year. Puerto Banus is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Mild winters average at around 18°C (64°F). A bi-product of the mild weather is that it makes for an ideal golfing climate. As a result many visiting golfers (including well known professionals) use the Costa del Sol as their winter training ground. There are a multitude of golf courses within reach of Puerto Banus, see Puerto Banus Golf for details.
