Nerja Weather Nerja is sheltered on its northern side by the Sierra Almijara mountains, which limits rainfall and creates a mild weather system; making it an ideal place to visit during both the summer and winter seasons. As a result the town enjoys sunshine for in excess of 300 days per year. At its hottest during the summer months, average temperatures rarely fall below 30°C (86°F). Whereas the typically very mild winters, boast daily highs of around 20°C (64°F). At night the low rarely falls below 10°C.
