Moraira Tourism Moraira is one of the prettiest spots on the Costa Blanca and an excellent spot to savour the delights of Spanish life. Its positioning is unique, on one side you have the Mediterranean sea and on the other the beautiful Jalon valley; said by many to be one of the best examples of rural Spain, full of orange, lemon, almond and olive trees, together with lush vegetation, vineyards and fantastic scenery. There are many things to see and do, an excellent cuisine to enjoy, and a lively atmosphere. The bulk of the visitors to the town tend to be a mixture between owners of holiday homes, and those renting privately owned properties. Of course, some visitors will stay in hotels and other accommodation types. Please see our "Moraira Hotels" document for more information/online booking. Like other towns along the coast Moraira has its roots as a fishing village, indeed it is a trade that is still prevalent here. It is also a testament to sensible town planning, there are no high rise hotels here, and package tour holidays are not welcomed. In fact the whole area is relatively low rise, mainly consisting of the older parts of the town together with villa style complexes and standalone properties. Whether you are looking for beautiful sandy beaches, sporting activities, historical artefacts, souvenirs, a daytrip, or something to do in the evening there really is something in Moraira for all ages.
