Mar Menor Golf Golf on the Mar Menor is now a major industry. Although there are some very established courses present (such as the La Manga club resort) in recent times there has been a sharp increase in the quantity of courses, and therefore choice available. If coupled with the neighbouring Costa Blanca the golfing market here is now hot on the heels, if not rivalling, that of the Costa del Sol and the Algarve. A great selection of courses are available ranging from easy-difficult and budget-expensive. The vast majority of courses do not allow booking more than 7 days in advance (unless booking in large groups), preferring to capitalise on the income created by short term visitors rather than membership. However due to demand, short term booking is almost always necessary and those turning up on the day expecting to play may find themselves disappointed.
