La Siesta Golf La Siesta Golf first opened in 1990 having been designed by Enrique Canales. A 9 hole offering the course is located in the hills between Mijas Costa and Calahonda. Overall the course looks good and is well maintained, with views out to sea from the 1st and 9th holes.  Despite being a short course the distance from tees to greens differs considerably from hole to hole. This gives the impression of playing on a much larger course.
