La Dama de Noche Golf Club The La Dama de Noche (meaning to Lady of the night) golf course was the first European golf course to remain open 24 hours per day; opening in 1991. A 2728 metre 9 hole offering, it is located near Puerto Banus, at the gateway to Marbella's famous golf valley. Designed by Enrique Canales the course first opened in 1991, taking its name from the flowering shrub whose night time fragrance is said to keep mosquito's away. The lighting system employed here allows play in darkness, without so much as casting a shadow on the course. Course difficulty caters for all, with little in the way of rough, though a river and two lakes affect play on almost every hole. Facilities at La Dama de Noche golf include; a clubhouse with bar and restaurant, cafeteria, pro-shop, and changing area.
