Club de Golf Cortijo Grande Golf Course - established in 1976 this comparatively flat course fairways are lined with citrus and olive trees. Designed by Paul Polansky this par 69, 18 hole course is has a backdrop of mountains, yet is only 4km from the beach, great for dropping off the family! The Almazara restaurant and bar is opposite the course and is where most people go before or after their round. This is the only golf course outside of the famous desert courses in Arizona and California to have the USGA specifications, and quality standards. It is a course that can be appreciated by players of all standards, with wide fairways for the more novice player, whilst challenging players at every hole with strategically placed springs, dry river beds, watercourses, cactus areas, and bunkers. Address Desert Springs Golf Club, Calle Desert, 04618 Villaricos, Cuevas del Almanzora, Almeria, Spain Marina Golf Course - established from 2000, and designed by Ramon Espinsa, this 18 hole course is varied in every way. Half of the holes are located next to the beach, these holes are flat with a sea breeze, the other half are on a hill. This is a fun course with many challenges. Valle de Este Golf Course - Established in 2002 and designed by José Canales the Valle del Este has a fabulous combination of challenging holes with easier ones. The surrounding and designed is quite stunning in particular the tees on raised platforms encircled by volcanic rock. The wide fairways are well kept, and there are allot sand bunkers, plus three lakes, and many waterfalls. Please note that the club require a valid handicapped certificate to play the course.
