Flamingos Golf Resort The Flamingos Golf Resort was officially inaugurated on the 11th of July 2001. Since then it has been widely recognised as one of the best golf courses on the Costa. Located in the hills between the towns of Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantara the scenery and views out across the Mediterranean Sea are truly remarkable. Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido the course is of the highest quality, both in terms of play and appearance. The course at Flamingos is technically very demanding (especially on the front 9). There are various lakes; fed by a natural stream, presenting numerous water hazards throughout the course. Though the vegetation is not as matured as on other courses, a great deal of effort as gone into making each hole defined by different types of tree. Golfers will find trees from all over the world including Cypresses, Orange, Nisper, Jacaranda, Pines, Olive, Chestnut, Pomegranate, and many more.
