Stretching from San Pedro del Pinatar to Mazarron, the Costa Calida is the stretch of coast belonging to the province of Murcia. The land here is mainly zoned for agricultural use, and indeed the province has a low population considering its size. Of course in recent years there has been considerable interest in the Costa Calida from native Spaniards and foreign nationals alike. This has mainly been concentrated on the Northern part of the Costa, dominated by the Mar Menor. Here you can now find established residential zones, in addition to sporting facilities (golf courses, tennis clubs etc), and entertainment options. One of the main attractions here is the diversity and availability of accommodation. There are many hotels to choose from; from low cost options through to high end offerings. To search for hotels click Costa Calida Hotels; to search for rental accommodation on the Costa Calida click Costa Calida Rentals. The Costa Calida is well known for it's coastline with many sandy Costa Calida Beaches to choose from, alongside rocky outcrops suitable for those keen on snorkeling. Visitors should find the beaches clean and in the main served by good quality chiringuitos (beach front cafes). Those in search of evening entertainment will find the Costa Calida to be mainly made up of peaceful fishing villages and residential enclaves, although there are plenty of restaurants and bars around to entertain. Traditional fiestas (festivals) are still prevalent, and there are a number to choose from, see our Costa Calida Fiestas document for more information. Costa Calida Weather is well known for being mild, making it an ideal destination in both summer and winter months. This is mainly due to the fact that the Costa Calida is sheltered by hills and high mountains, allowing for a kind of micro climate, which in turn limits rainfall. The result is that the Costa Calida enjoys sunshine for in excess of 300 days per year. Costa Calida Tourist Offices Tel +34 902 101070
