With a resident population of 13,000 (lots more in the summer) the town of Calpe is located in the northern part of The Costa Blanca, sandwiched between the towns of Altea and Javea. From Alicante airport Calpe is best reached via the A-7 toll road, the journey time in most cases taking around an hour.

Today Calpe is a town of contrasts, modern buildings and wide open spaces meet with the delights of an ancient fishing village. In fact the older part of the town is ever more popular. With its scenic narrow streets, museums and typical Spanish squares lined with all manner of cafes, bars and eateries, it is steeped in history and offers a wealth of culture.

How to get to Calpe
Calpe is situated about 40 miles north of Alicante, under one hours drive along the coastal highway (many parts of which have quite spectacular views), it is an easy place to get to via the international airport there. Please note some sections of the road have tolls so have some cash or your plastic handy. Another option is to fly to Valencia which is about 75 miles further north and 1 hour 20 minutes drive.
