Punta de la Escaleta The closest marina to Benidorm is located at Punta de la Escaleta, at the northernmost end of the Playa Poniente beach. This is home to the Club Nautico Benidorm Sailing Club and several international diving centres. Much of the surrounding area has been declared a marine nature reserve. Positioned at 38º 30' N 0º 07' W the marina is home to 150 berths. A Light boat sailing school is open during the summer months and also at Easter, and in low season its doors are occasionally opened to school groups.
