Benalmadena Attractions Benalmadena is one of the best-known and most popular resorts on the Costa del Sol. The town's biggest attraction is its lovely marina, which has many bars, shops and restaurants. The marina is also home to the Sealife aquarium, boasting an impressive collection of sharks and other marine creatures. Children will especially enjoy Sealife's 'touch pools', as it is possible to stroke the inquisitive ray fish. Next to Benalmadena's large Paloma Park is another aquatically-themed tourist attraction, Selwo, where you can watch entertaining displays by sea lions and dolphins. The district of Arroyo de la Miel, situated up the hill from Selwo, is home to Tivoli World. This amusement park has a variety of rides and fairground attractions such as the haunted house. During the summer months the park hosts concerts and entertainment shows. Opposite the entrance to Tivoli World is the start of the cable car ride, which ascends Mount Calamorro. From the mountain's summit there are superb views over Benalmadena, and you can also watch displays involving birds of prey. There are more great views of the coastline from Benalmadena Pueblo, located a couple of miles inland. The pueblo is a traditional village notable for its whitewashed houses and pretty squares.
