Altea Weather Weather in Altea is very mild (and well known for it), making it an ideal destination for holiday makers in both the summer and the winter months. Both the town and surrounding areas are sheltered by hills and high mountains, allowing for a kind of micro climate. This limits rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year.
