Almerimar  This is a small modern town, with a large marina and yachting club.  There are many restaurants, bars, shops, and a good night life.  Fishing is popular with the locals due to the large quantities of tuna in the local waters. The Almerimar golf course is a 27 hole course est. since 1976 and designed by Gary Player.  It is a relatively flat course with broad fairways and greens.  Picturesque with many palm trees, lakes, and a sea view, all of these things add to the challenge.  Please see Almerimar Golf Courses for more information. The beach in Almerimar is quiet, with golden sand, calm and clean water which is often warmer than the air.  It stretches along several kilometers, and is very well maintained.  Sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving are all available here all year round, with tutors.  Please see Almerimar beaches for more information. The marina in Almerimar is one of the only ones in the Costa Almeria with space for rent or to to buy, it has 1100 spaces each holding 60m boats.  The facilities include electricity, water, and fuel.  Please see Almerimar Marinas for more information. Annually on the 16th July there is a fiesta in Almerimar celebrating Virgen del Carmen.  The Virgin Carmen was the protector of the fisherman which is why they celebrate it in the traditional Spanish fishing town. The average temperature in the summer is 25ºC and in the winter is 12ºC.  All in all I would highly recommend Almerimar for your annual holiday or investment in property, it is an undiscovered, unspoilt town with friendly locals, and lots to do nearby.
