Almenara Golf Designed by Dave Thomas the popular Club de Golf Almenara was first inaugurated in 1999. It is located in the upper part of Sotogrande, just 500 metres from the infamous Valderrama Golf at the westernmost end of the Costa del Sol. This par 72, 18 hole course is truly beautiful, with many cork oaks trees, wild pines, streams and lakes sculpting its shape. The terrain here is very hilly, and play is made more difficult by the use of tight fairways protected by bunkers. Greens are (in the main) large and undulating. Almenara Golf boasts a host of additional services/amenities.
