El Agudo Cuerda de La Murada, Alicante El Agudo is an area of natural beauty between the villages of Barbarroja and La Murada. Known as the protector of La Murada this fantastic and rugged, mountainside is dotted with ravines carved out by rivers flowing since time began. The slopes are covered in protected pine woodland, with an abundance of wildlife and typical forest birds. This is an ideal location for walking, picnicking, and other outdoor pursuits. Located just a few miles north of Orihuela (worth a visit in itself), the best way to get there is to take the local road from La Murada to Los Vives. Alternatively you could travel on foot via the Colada del Camino del Agudo. A Camino is an unmade road. If travelling from Alicante by car the journey should take no longer than 50 minutes.
